A Victoria horse collapsed at Kala Ghora

A BSPCA volunteer saw the driver beating the horse to make it get up. It
tried and finally did get up itself o;nly to collapse again. The volunteer
immediately contacted the nearest Police Chowkie and called the hospital for
assistance.
The horse was brouight to the hospital in an ambulance and was treated for dehydration and other symptoms.
Photos show the horse lying prone on the street, its emaciated condition at that time, and the improvement after a month at the hospital. It is still not in a condition to work. Rest has been advised.
