Horse Rescue

Two black horses has been rescued from Andheri and brought to the Bai Sakarbai Dinshaw Petit Hospital for Animals at the request by Andheri Police Station. It is the same kind of superstition or myth that discarded shoe of young black male horses brings luck to you. Infact, making a metal ring from such horses shoe is believed to guard the people from the ill effect of Lord Shani (Saturn) that is why, these horses were exploited in a way horses regularly fitted with new shoe while the old one is sold for around Rs. 300/- a piece.

Horses have got their hoof cracked and injury which is quite painful to the animal due to continuous fitting and removing of horse shoe from the animal, which is cruelty against the animals under PCA Act 1960.
