Lt. Col. (Dr.) J C Khanna, B.V. Sc and AH, M.V.Sc., NDEHMS, MBA, DIMS, joined the BSPCA with effect from September 28,2003.
Col Khanna retired from the Remount Veterinary Corps of the Indian Army and has 31 years of experience of administration as Command HQ as well as Commanding Officer and Veterinary Officer of various veterinary units of the army, in peace time and in the field. He has been involved in the care management, treatment and equines, bovines, poultry and meat inspection duties and has worked with the Indian Peace Force in Sri Lanka. He has also been adviser to the Government of Sri Lanka and the UAE on animal projects.
Col. Khanna brings with him experience of personnel management and is also computer qualified and recently awarded Nakul Award for 2003 for providing selfless veterinary services, awarded Bharat Jyoti Award 2006 with Certificate of Excellence for selfless service in the field of Animal Sciences. Rescue work for wild & domesticated animals and their welfare activities in Army and Civil at various places. An appreciation letter from The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd., for rescuing 12 ft. Indian Rock Python on board ship.
